Shepard Fairey collaborated with Studio Number One’s Cleon Peterson and Casey Ryder to produce this print for Artists for Peace and Justice. If you are looking to get your hands on a new piece of art and also do your conscience some good, this is a win win. I have been in the throes of starting my business, continuing some ongoing project work and preparing for an upcoming show. While cleaning out his uncle’s house in Los Angeles, James Nestor found a manila folder. Inside, there were dozens of ways to get high without drugs. Eventually, he put together a “HighLab” of willing friends to test these trips one by one. The result was his book Get High Now (Without Drugs). Below is our version of one of James’s favorite relaxing techniques.

Sun and Moon Breath

The Sun and Moon Breath is an ancient technique that balances you right out. The moon breath (left nostril) calms your nervous system while the sun breath (right nostril) perks you up. It totally works. For the purposes of this guide, try the Moon Breath. Really. Try it. Now. Right now.

1. Place your right thumb over your right nostril.

2. Close your mouth, and breathe in very deeply and very slowly 30 times through your left nostril.

3. This will cause a physiological change in your body and brain—it will mellow you out.

Arcade Fire Ask for Donations for Haitian Earthquake Aid

"Haiti needs your help in her darkest hour"

Arcade Fire have strong connections to Haiti. Co-leader Régine Chassagne has family roots in the country, which she explored on the song "Haiti" on Funeral. The band has worked with the charity Partners in Health many times in the past, encouraging their fans to donate money for health care needs in Haiti.
The massive, devastating earthquake that struck the Haitian city of Port-au-Prince two days ago has understandably hit close to home for the band. The 7.0-magnitude quake took a tremendous toll on the already poor island nation. The Washington Post reports that the Red Cross estimates that 45,000 to 50,000 people have been killed and three million more are injured or homeless.
On Arcade Fire's website, Chassagne and husband Win Butler have posted a call for donations to Partners in Health to help with the relief effort. Read the full text of their post below.

Haiti needs your help in her darkest hour.
We just got off the phone with our friends at Partners in Health. Most of the medical infrastructure in Port-au-Prince is down.
Since Partners in Health's clinics are in situated the surrounding areas and haven't been damaged, they are mobilizing their resources towards the capital, setting-up field hospitals to treat the injured on the ground.
Also, Paul Farmer (the founder of PIH) is at the UN and has access to the best information on where to direct the money... so for the moment if you want to help, we suggest sending funds to:

"Rockin' That Thang"

A trancey disco-pop tune inspired by The-Dream's awesome "Rockin That Thang" from Telephoned, the duo of Maggie Horn and Sammy Bananas. Fool's Gold, the A-Trak and Nick Catchdubs-owned label, will be releasing their self-titled debut EP on January 19 with a mixtape to follow. This collaboration began with a sorta-cover of T-Pain's "Can't Believe It", and they've continued their Telephone-game-like partnership (creating new songs out of old ones, while not strictly covering them) with a handful of singles, a few of which you can check out over at their MySpace.
